Emmerdale fans are in for a huge surprise as one familiar face from the soap’s past is officially set to make a sensational return to the village.
Steve Marchant, played by Paul Opacic, is returning to Emmerdale after almost 27 years away, bringing a major blast from Kim Tate’s past back into the present.
Steve was last seen in the village in 1999, following his turbulent marriage to Kim, which ended in dramatic circumstances.
Now, his name has resurfaced in a major storyline involving Thea Ramsden, after it was revealed that Steve is her biological father.
The revelation could have huge consequences for Kim, particularly with her complicated history with Steve and the secrets surrounding her family.
But what will happen when Steve finally comes face to face with Kim again?
Will there be old scores to settle, unanswered questions and plenty of drama waiting for the former couple?
His return also raises questions about what role he will play in Thea’s life and whether their reunion will be a happy one.
One thing is certain: Steve’s comeback looks set to bring plenty of drama to the Dales.
Are you pleased to see Steve Marchant returning to Emmerdale after all these years?
