Could Keith Lemon be swapping his usual celebrity interviews for Bushtucker Trials?
Comedian Leigh Francis, best known for his hilarious alter ego Keith Lemon, is reportedly in advanced talks to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The 53-year-old television favourite is said to be a dream signing for ITV bosses, particularly hosts Ant and Dec, who have made no secret of their desire to see him enter the Australian jungle.
In fact, Ant and Dec recently issued Leigh with a personal invitation during their podcast, Hanging Out with Ant and Dec.
Ant directly urged him to take part, saying: “Leigh, come on! This is our plea to you. Get in the jungle. You know you want to.”
Dec also admitted that watching Leigh tackle a Bushtucker Trial would be something they’d love to see.
The comedian previously held provisional talks about appearing on the programme two years ago, but ultimately didn’t sign up.
Leigh became a household name through shows including Bo’ Selecta!, Celebrity Juice and Through the Keyhole, entertaining audiences for more than two decades.
If he does sign up, viewers could be in for some seriously funny moments around the campfire!
However, ITV has yet to officially confirm the reported signing.
