EastEnders fans could be set for an emotional reminder of Sean Slater’s past as actor Rob Kazinsky has opened up about his character’s feelings for the late Roxy Mitchell.
Sean recently made his permanent return to Albert Square after four years away, and there are already plenty of questions about what lies ahead for the popular character.
However, one relationship from his past clearly remains close to Sean’s heart.
Speaking to Radio Times, Rob Kazinsky discussed Sean’s romantic future and admitted that Roxy Mitchell was the love of his life.
The actor said: “Roxy was the love of his life, but he might have a thing.”
He also teased that Sean could break a few hearts along the way, while making it clear that nobody will ever take Roxy’s place.
Roxy, played by Rita Simons, was tragically killed off in 2017 alongside her sister Ronnie Mitchell, leaving fans devastated.
Her history with Sean was complicated, with the pair having married before their relationship ultimately fell apart. Sean also believed he was Amy Mitchell’s father, before discovering that Jack Branning was her biological dad.
Now, with Sean back in Walford permanently, could his return bring back some painful memories of the woman he once loved?
And who is the mystery person Sean might have his eye on?
One thing seems certain: even after all these years, Roxy Mitchell remains an important part of Sean’s story.
