Hollyoaks fans will have the chance to come face-to-face with one of the soap’s most notorious villains this Halloween, as Clare Devine makes a chilling return!
Gemma Bissix is set to reprise her iconic role as Clare Devine for HorrorOaks, a terrifying Halloween experience taking place at the actual Hollyoaks village set.
The news was revealed by Metro on Saturday (17 October), with the special event promising to bring some familiar faces back from the dead.
Clare is one of the most infamous villains in Hollyoaks history, having returned from the dead in a shocking twist before embarking on another reign of terror in the village.
Her recent storyline saw her exposed as a key figure behind the exploitation of local teenagers. She also killed her own sister, Grace Black, during the soap’s dramatic anniversary celebrations.
Clare’s latest crimes eventually caught up with her, but she managed to escape prison and continued to leave destruction in her wake. Her final confrontation with Sienna Blake ended with Clare being pushed from a pier — although her body was never found.
Now, Gemma will bring Clare back for HorrorOaks, giving fans the opportunity to encounter the terrifying character in person.
She won’t be the only familiar face making an appearance, either. Tamara Wall is also returning as Grace Black for the Halloween event.
Taking place on Saturday, 31 October, HorrorOaks will transform the Hollyoaks set into a frightening experience complete with eerie lighting, fog, chilling sound effects and jump scares. Each tour will last approximately one hour.
The event promises to offer fans a very different experience from watching the soap at home, with the opportunity to explore the village while encountering characters from its dark past.
Although Clare’s appearance is part of the Halloween event, rather than confirmation of another on-screen comeback, her return is sure to excite fans who have followed her many twists and turns over the years.
Clare won’t be the only fan favorite making a shocking return.
