Sarah Platt faces a life-changing moment as the jury reaches its verdict, while Nick Tilsley considers walking away from the Bistro in tonight’s Coronation Street.

There’s plenty of drama on the cobbles tonight as Sarah’s murder trial reaches a crucial turning point. After months of uncertainty following Theo Silverton’s death, Sarah and her family are left waiting for the jury’s decision.

Meanwhile, Nick is thinking about giving up the Viaduct Bistro, Sam urges his dad to reconsider, and Daniel Osbourne finds himself heading towards a clash with Idris Nazir.

Sarah Platt’s verdict is revealed

Sarah’s ordeal reaches a dramatic moment as the barristers deliver their closing speeches and the jury prepares to make its decision.

Sarah has admitted killing Theo but has maintained that she acted in self-defence after his abusive behaviour. Now, with the verdict finally approaching, she faces the terrifying possibility of losing her freedom.

Her family can only wait as the court prepares to reveal the outcome. Will Sarah be able to return home, or is another devastating blow on the way?

Sam begs Nick not to sell the Bistro

Nick is considering selling the Viaduct Bistro back to Leanne Battersby as he struggles with everything happening in his personal life.

He believes stepping away from the business would allow him to concentrate on Sam, who has been dealing with problems of his own.

However, Sam doesn’t want his dad to sacrifice something he loves. He urges Nick to reconsider, leaving the future of the Bistro hanging in the balance.

Could Leanne really end up getting the business back?

Daniel and Idris head for a clash

Daniel learns that the council is planning to sell spare school land to a wealthy developer. Determined to protect the space for local children, he begins considering how he can stop the plans.

What Daniel doesn’t realise is that Idris has his own interest in buying the land and has approached Alya Nazir to act as his solicitor.

With their plans heading in opposite directions, a fresh battle could be brewing.

Ronnie opens up about Debbie

Ronnie Bailey has been struggling privately with Debbie’s worsening dementia and the impact it is having on their marriage.

He admits his worries to brother Ed, particularly around intimacy, consent and Debbie’s changing memory.

As Debbie continues to misunderstand situations, Ronnie is finding it increasingly difficult to explain his feelings to the woman he loves.

Coronation Street airs tonight at 8.30pm on ITV1, with the episode available on ITVX from 7am.
