Emmerdale fans may be surprised by the latest off-screen romance news, as two stars of the ITV soap have reportedly grown close away from the cameras.
Olivia Bromley, who played Dawn Fletcher, and Ned Porteous, who plays Joe Tate, are reportedly dating in real life after their characters’ dramatic relationship captivated viewers.
According to a report published on Saturday, 17 October, the pair have been seeing each other for several months after growing close while working together on the soap.

Their on-screen romance was at the centre of one of the show’s most dramatic storylines, with Dawn ultimately choosing Joe after being caught in a love triangle involving her ex-husband, Billy Fletcher.
However, the couple’s fictional happy ending was short-lived. Dawn tragically died following the devastating wedding-day crash, shortly after giving birth to her baby boy.
Olivia’s departure from Emmerdale came after eight years on the show, while Ned has continued playing Joe as he struggles to cope with the loss of his fiancée.

The report claims the actors kept their relationship private initially, with their close working relationship helping them keep things under wraps.
It is worth noting that the reported romance has not been officially confirmed by the actors, and an Emmerdale spokesperson declined to comment when approached by the publication.
What do you think, Emmerdale fans? Did you spot the chemistry between Olivia and Ned, or has this reported real-life romance come as a complete surprise?
