Hollyoaks fans may not have seen the last of Gemma Johnson, with the character’s future continuing to attract attention as viewers look ahead to what comes next for the Johnson family.
Gemma, played by Tisha Merry, joined Hollyoaks as part of the soap’s 30th-anniversary celebrations, bringing a significant connection to the show’s sister soap, Brookside.
The character has a long history, having originally appeared in Brookside before being introduced to a new generation of viewers in Hollyoaks. Her arrival also strengthened the connection between the two Liverpool-based soaps, giving longtime fans another reason to be interested in her story.
Since joining Hollyoaks, Gemma has been linked to some major developments in the village. As the daughter of Mick Johnson, also known as Donny Clark in Hollyoaks, she has connections that could prove important as the storylines continue to unfold.
