The wait is almost over! The Celebrity Traitors is returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2026, with a brand-new group of famous faces heading to the Scottish Highlands to take part in the ultimate game of trust, deception and betrayal.
Hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, the second series features an impressive 21 celebrities from the worlds of television, comedy, music, sport and social media.
The official line-up was confirmed by the BBC in May, and there are some seriously big names among the cast. (BBC)

🎭 Amol Rajan
The journalist and broadcaster is best known for presenting University Challenge and appearing on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
🎬 Bella Ramsey
The acclaimed actor, known for The Last of Us and Game of Thrones, will be swapping scripted drama for the unpredictable world of The Traitors.
😂 James Acaster
The comedian and podcaster is heading into the castle, where his ability to keep a straight face could certainly be tested.
🎵 James Blunt
The singer-songwriter and social media favourite will be hoping his sense of humour helps him survive the round table.
👠 Jerry Hall
The American model and actress brings decades of experience in the worlds of fashion and entertainment to the castle.
😂 Joanne McNally
The Irish comedian and presenter is another major comedy name joining this year’s cast.
🎤 Joe Lycett
Known for his comedy, television appearances and elaborate public stunts, Joe Lycett is guaranteed to bring his own unique personality to the castle.
📺 Julie Hesmondhalgh
Coronation Street fans will recognise Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played Hayley Cropper on the long-running ITV soap.
🎮 King Kenny
The hugely popular content creator joins the celebrity cast, bringing a very different background to the traditional television stars.
🎤 Leigh-Anne Pinnock
The former Little Mix star will be putting her skills of performance and persuasion to the test.
📺 Maya Jama
The broadcaster and presenter is one of the biggest television personalities taking part in the 2026 series.
🎭 Michael Sheen
The acclaimed Welsh actor and presenter is another huge name entering the castle.

The much-loved comedian, actor and author will be hoping her humour can help her navigate the lies and accusations.

The American actor, best known for playing Harper Stern in Industry, is joining the competition.

The mathematician, author and broadcaster will be bringing her analytical skills to a game where working out who is telling the truth could be everything.

The Oscar-nominated actor and author is among the biggest names in this year’s line-up.
😂 Rob Beckett
The comedian and presenter will be entering the castle alongside his close friend and television partner Romesh Ranganathan.

EastEnders legend Ross Kemp is swapping Albert Square for the Scottish Highlands.

The Scottish actor, known for My Mad Fat Diary and Two Doors Down, completes the 21-strong line-up.
When does The Celebrity Traitors 2026 start?
The new series begins on Thursday 1 October 2026 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Claudia Winkleman will once again be taking charge as the celebrities attempt to work out who they can trust — and who could be secretly plotting against them.
The series will consist of 10 episodes, with the celebrities competing for a prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. (ITVX)
Who will become a Traitor?
That’s the question everyone wants answered!
The celebrities will begin the game as either Faithfuls or Traitors, with the Traitors attempting to secretly eliminate the Faithfuls while the Faithfuls try to identify and banish the Traitors at the round table.
With comedians, actors, musicians, broadcasters and content creators all thrown together, there is plenty of potential for alliances, accusations and spectacular betrayals.
And after the success of the first celebrity series — which ended with Alan Carr winning the game as a Traitor — expectations are high for the second series. (The Guardian)
