Brendan Brady, played by Emmett J. Scanlan, remains one of Hollyoaks’ most memorable characters.
The character left the soap in 2013 after being sent to prison, following a dramatic series of events involving his father Seamus and Ste Hay.
Since then, fans have regularly wondered whether Brendan could one day return.
Could Brendan come back?
At the moment, there is no confirmed news that Emmett J. Scanlan is returning to Hollyoaks as Brendan.
The actor has continued to build a career away from the soap, with recent roles including MobLand and A Woman of Substance.
However, Brendan’s story was left open enough for fans to keep hoping that one day he could walk back into the village.
And with Hollyoaks known for unexpected returns, anything is possible in the future.
What would a Brendan return mean?
A surprise comeback would undoubtedly cause a huge reaction — particularly if Brendan was reunited with characters from his past.
